We are hiring a PHP web developer at The Social Firm. We're a fun, relaxed group of creative professionals who work hard to make our clients happy. We adore self-motivated people who keep up on the latest web trends and are full of interesting ideas.
Here's what you'd be doing:
- Developing and maintaining entire websites from concept to completion
- Working closely with designers to implement artwork and refine user experience and usability of web projects
- Developing & Manipulating WordPress themes/plugins
- Developing & maintaining an in-house CMS
- Juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Bringing new ideas and technologies to the team for discussion
- Creating applications that interact with social networking sites
- Securing web applications and web interfaces
- Ability to write code in OO fashion following the MVC framework
But to be our web developer, you'll need this:
- 2-3 years of experience in web development
- Expertise in PHP and MySQL, HTML5 Applications, and Javascript libraries (such as jQuery).
- Networking/Linux server expertise is a very, very strong plus.
- To be an effective communicator
- Source control & Apache experience
Major kudos to those with:
- Linux administrator experience
- LAMP stack experience
- SAMBA experience
- VPN implementations (OpenVPN)
- Familiarity with O-Auth and Facebook Graph API
- SVN, git and other subversion systems
- Mobile Website Development
- Android / iOS Application Development
